CCA Course Skill Prerequisites
The CCA training program builds on foundational knowledge from the CMMC Certified Professional (CCP) course. To maximize your success, we recommend participants who plan on taking the CCA Exam have the following:
- CMMC Fundamentals: CCP certification or prior completion of a CCP course is encourage prior to enrolling in the CCA course.
- Standards & Framework Fluency: Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 or similar security standards or frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, etc.).
- Assessment Knowledge: Familiarity with assessment principles, gap assessments, and evidence collection.
- Security Fundamentals: A solid grasp of core cybersecurity principles, such as access control, risk management, and system architecture.
- Technical Basics: Familiarity with system boundaries, access controls, and risk management principles.
